Bible Study

Beginning on Sunday, November 29th at 6PM, and continuing through December 20th, First UMC will be offering Evening Prayer Services for Advent.  Our sanctuary, bathed in candlelight and dressed for the season, will serve as our gathering place. Each of these services, slated to last about 45 minutes, will differ slightly in style, but will include common elements of prayer, song, and scripture.  We hope you will join us!

This year’s Advent study will use a new book, Awaiting the Already, written by Magrey deVega.    This thematic study is designed to help us apply the Biblical narrative to our lives, especially during the Advent/Christmas season.  The study will be four weeks in length, and will take place on Wednesday evenings at 6:30, beginning December 2nd. We will also offer a second session on Thursdays at 12:15, beginning on the 3rd.  Participants are invited to purchase the book on their own
