Bible Pathways ~weekly Bible Study
Consider this your invitation to Bible Pathways - a weekly one-hour study session which covers one book of the Bible per week - and the entire Bible over one year. You can gain Bible fluency in the course of a year by investing one hour per week.
The series repeats, so you can hop in any time; and cover the entire Bible in a year's time. There is no cost, and no experience necessary!
We meet Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Conference Room 1 of the First United Methodist Church, South Main St., Rochester NH.
You can download/print a one-page study guide for each session. The guides and full schedule are found at http://tinyurl.com/biblepathways
Just bring your Bible - any translation is fine - actually, the more varied ones we have, the better. Beverages are OK too.

Lenten Bible Study
Lenten Bible/Book Study. Beginning on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 PM and again on Thursday the 13th at 12:15 PM, Pastor Jeff will be offering a 5-week study of Barbara Brown Taylor's book, Speaking of Sin: The Lost Language of Salvation (Cambridge/Boston: Cowley Publications. 2000. ISBN 1-56101-189-4.) Taylor writes, "...abandoning the language of sin will not make sin go away; it will simply leave us speechless before its effects and increase our denial of its presence in our lives. Ironically, it will also weaken the language of grace, since the full impact of forgiveness cannot be felt apart from the knowledge of what has been forgiven."
Participants are invited to purchase their own book, if desired, but the book is not a requirement. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you are planning to attend. Min. # of Participants - 5 for each class. Max # of participants - None. Deadline to sign up is Ash Wednesday, March 5th.
